Oh, Bunny

Hello.  Welcome.  Uniko have a lovely inspiration photo of a floral suitcase in a meadow with a pot of flowers and I thought maybe if I made the suitcase bigger and added a patchwork rabbit and now I'm thinking about the YNS sketch, which is wondrously simple, and I might also have hit their colours!!, and Time Out have some wild floral wallpaper in their inspiration photo.......

OK, so he's not patchwork, but I love him anyway!!  I stamped Uniko's Somebunny on DCWV patterned paper and then coloured with Promarkers, Verdigris and Sage Green, and fussy cut.  Now some of the really observant amongst you might be thinking that that flowery wallpaper has a few misprints!  Well, that was due to my brain wave.  Can you see it waving??  You see in the Somebunny set there is this tiny little flower stamp and I looked at the dots on the paper and thought that would fit in there and LO!! it did!!  No really, I did that.

From this........

To this!!  Crazy, but very cool.  A few were not quite centered but that's the joy of handmade.  I found a bit of grey ribbon that also has circles on it and I used the 'hoppy' from the Uniko set and a 'birthday' stamp from Stamplorations for my sentiment.

Strangely Trendy

Hello.  Welcome.  Have you seen the new thing??  Artist Trading Coins!!  2 1/2 inch circles of art.  These are cute and fun and did I mention fun!  Here are my first Coins......

Squeeee!  Aren't they just adorbs??!!  I started by cutting my coins from orange marbled card using a Sizzix circle die.  Then I used Fossilised Amber DOx ink through Memory Box Honeycomb stencil.  I stamped the backgrounds using various small stamps from Paper Smooches Bee Mine set and Spiced Marmalade distress ink.  I edged the coins with the same ink.  I stamped and fussy cut the large bee and coloured with yellow Promarker and glitter glue.  I matched the sentiments to the background images.

Let's zoom in, zzuubbbb, zzuubbbbbbb

I used the hive image in the background and paired it with the hello honey sentiment

I stamped the two small hearts and the lady bug with the heart in the background and the open love sentiment and filled the letters with red glitter glue.

I stamped the two small bee images and paired them with the bee mine sentiment.

Fairy Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  It's hot!  Damn hot!  30°C, that's 86°F, in the shade!!  I went to my craft room.  The only thing to be said for that was it wasn't in the sun.  But it was pretty hot there too!!  The UHU positively danced out of the tube......  And now I'm starting to have days ja view cos the other day I wrote about it being hot, frisky UHU and christmas cards.  And yeah, it's a christmas card again today.  I have been thinking about the Muse Christmas Visions challenge again and decided to get a bit more arty with it.

I will probably have to explain how I got to this one.......

When I looked at Chriss' muse card basically what I saw was a poinsettia between blue diagonal lines.

So that's what I did.  OK, my poinsettia has a whole sugarplum fairy attached to it, but basically it's a poinsettia between diagonal blue lines!  Poinsettias and sugarplum fairies are both seasonal items so I thought it would make a perfect alternative christmas card.

Since we were talking flowers I decided to die cut Poppystamps Large Sugarplum Fairy from Prima patterned paper.  The pattern was roses, but I figured that once cut that wouldn't be too obvious.  I cut the wings from the same patterned paper, backed them with vellum and added some sparkle with iridescent glitter glue.  Then I used Poppystamps Poinsettia Stem die, cut and embossed many times from brick red card and I layered the pieces onto her tutu.  I added a scrap of black paper as a belt and then found this cool flower shaped brad with a pink snowflake center.

I used Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle dies to cut the iridescent pale blue textured card panel and the vellum panel and mounted it all on a blue base card.  Now I need to find me a Fairy Christmas sentiment!  Anyone know of one??

Feather Head

Hello.  Welcome.  I have a little inspiration for the Lost Coast Designs Tweet This challenge.  We want to see birds on your make.  Here's Flora, strutting her stuff.....

I made a blingy gold ATC and added some metal feathers from Korthobby to Lost Coast Designs Whimsical Flora.  The sentiment is from Carmen's Veranda and I triple embossed it to make it really pop. Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for more details and to link up your bird themed makes.

Tea Anyone??

Hello.  Welcome.  It's Coffee Lovers Blog hop time and Marianne Designs wanted a pocket card, so I decided to combine the two and use some of this weeks happy mail as well.  Result!!

I used Marianne design Shabby Chic patterned papers and Bazzill card to make this card.

Here's the pocket element.  I used Marianne Design Passe-Partout Rectangle to cut the pretty pocket design, folded over the ends and shaped them.  The cup and saucer were cut from the shabby chic papers and I used a Stormy Sky distress marker to add the dark blue detail and a white gel pen and brown Promarker to fill my cup.

I added my most favourite Yogi Tea bag to the pocket, but it would also hold a gift card or other small gift.

Toasty Chestnuts

Hello.  Welcome.  They say today could be the warmest day in May since they started recording.  I don't think we are going to break records where we are, but it's toasty here!!  I had to re-ink my archival, and most of my glues were stubbonly not wanting to come out of their tubes/bottles, except for the UHU, which positively galloped out of the tube.  It's amazing how frisky solvent based products get when the craft room is too warm to be comfortable LOL.  So I decided to make a christmas card!! Well, that white hammered card always reminds me of snow........

I was inspired by Chriss' card over at Muse Christmas Visions, and it also reminded me of the YNS sketch.  I used Stamplorations Poinsettia Row, stamped, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  Then I used some chrismas ribbon (God Jul is Norwegian for Merry Christmas) and a Papirdesign die for the sentiment.  I cut the sentiment once from red card and twice from black, layered and added some red glitter glue.  I also added some gold glitter glue to the center of the flowers.

One Bus, Two Bus, Many

Hello.  Welcome.  It's been a busy week for happy mail!  It seems that items I ordered for my own birthday, and a couple of packages of happy wins, all arrived at the same time.  I am like a crazy crafter in a storm of NBUS!!  My first stamps arrived from Paperbabes.  Thanks Kim.  I couldn't wait to ink up this beautiful big geisha.  Love her.  Love!!

I made a happy birthday tag

I went with a smallish tag and used Fossilised Amber Dox through Stamploration Big Bloom Factory stencil and Prima black fluid chalk through Stamplorations Some Birds stencil.  I stamped the Unity Stamps sentiment with the black chalk ink.

I stamped and embossed Paperbabes MaryLeeDee Kimono clear stamp on handmade paper.  Then I coloured with Promarkers.  I thought they might bleed a bit cos of the texture of the paper, but they worked fab.  Then I fussy cut her and added her to the tag.  The ribbon is silk, which I thought went perfectly with the asian theme.

Pigs Can Fly

Hello.  Welcome.  Stamplorations are having a month long party with lots of challenges, all with the theme of Things With Wings.  I couldn't resist finally inking up this fun stamp from Stamp Oasis.  He comes with his own little cloudy starry background but I decided to make him a new one.

 Flying pig!!  But of course.

I stamped the winged pig, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.  I edged with a black Promarker, and in places the card sucked a bit extra ink, but I liked the look, and I love that pig!!!  The nebula is a Unity stamp from Be Different stamped with three shades of blue distress inks.  I stamped the happy birthday greeting from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Party Animals.

I cut the panel with Stamplorations medium Double Crazy Stitched rectangle die and then the base card with the the large die.

Golden Shine

Hello.  Welcome.  It's the middle of the month and I have a little reminder for you for the Rubber Dance challenge.  I made an ATC featuring Merry Magpie and a few Textured Flowers.

Since the Rubber Dance theme this month is Metal I decided to make my ATC base using a gold metal sheet.

I glued a piece of the metal sheet onto a piece of chipboard and used a Sizzix ATC die to cut the shape.  Then I stamped around the edge with the small star cluster stamp from the Merry Magpie set and embossed with gold powder.  I smeared the edges of the ATC with Versamark ink and embossed again with gold powder.

I stamped the Magpie on book paper, embossed with black powder and fussy cut.  I added a little white gel pen to the eye and orange Promarker to the beak.  I stamped the small flower from the Textured Flower set directly onto the ATC and embossed with black powder, masked and stamped and embossed a few more.  Then I added some colour with lime green, purple and red Promarkers.  The Shiny! sentiment is from the Magpie set embossed in gold on black card.

Thanks for dropping by.   The Rubber Dance challenge runs until the end of the month. You can use the colours and/or the theme.  Don't forget if you are shopping at Rubber Dance you can get free worldwide shipping with my code GTFreeShip when you spend over €15!  Hugz.
